Mr. Brickmeier has been instrumental in the definition and promotion of Concurrent's products throughout his tenure with the company.He played a key role in the development and market launch of Concurrent's MediaHawk® Content Delivery System, including its Emmy®-award winning time-shifted television technology.Prior to joining Concurrent in 2000, Mr. Brickmeier was with Manhattan Associates, a global leader in supply chain software solutions.During his five years with Manhattan Associates, he helped foster the growth of the company from approximately 20 employees to over 600, culminating in a successful public offering on the NASDAQ stock exchange.

James Brickmeier is Vice President of Products and Programs.Mr. Brickmeier is responsible for pre-sales and post-sales installation support as well as managing the product specification and delivery cycles for Concurrent's VOD product line.

Mr. Brickmeier has more than 12 years of Program and Product Management experience.In his 7 years at Concurrent he has played a key role in the sale and successful implementation of Concurrent's VOD system at a variety of MSO's, including Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, Cox Communications, Videotron, Cogeco, and Blue Ridge Cable.He has held management roles in both Applications Engineering and Program Management.Prior to joining Concurrent, Mr. Brickmeier was a Senior Design Consultant with Manhattan Associates, where he engineered and implemented supply chain solutions for some of the world's largest retailers, including Sainsbury's Supermarkets, Tone Brothers, Columbia Sportswear, and Duck Head Apparel.During his 5 years with Manhattan, he helped foster the growth of the company from approximately 20 employees to over 600, culminating in a successful public offering on the NASDAQ stock exchange.Manhattan Associates is the global leader in supply chain software solutions.

At the site in South Carolina, Time Warner is using five RTCs, with each one supporting 15 simultaneous ingest channels, according to Jim Brickmeier, Concurrent's director of application engineering.

Using a server for the RTC is essential because of the processing power required to take in thousands of downstreams.A typical ingest system just wouldn't have the horsepower to handle it.

Although Time Warner's initial Start Over system is optimizing 62 channels for Start Over, the goal is to support more than 100 channels for the new service, Brickmeier explained.
