SARASOTA -- Liz Breuer believes The Savoy on Palm condominium will be like a trendy boutique hotel with concierge, honor bar and only 24 residences.
"You'll be able to walk out the door to anything in downtown Sarasota," said Breuer. She's president of both Placida Properties Inc. and P.Wallenberg Development Company Inc., joint partners in Floria LLC, developers of The Savoy.
She has opened a sales office at 303 S. Palm Ave., just north of the 1.1-acre site, which is now cleared of two older rental apartment buildings.
Breuer expects groundbreaking in October, followed by 14 months of construction by the prestigious Turner Construction Co.

The Second District Court of Appeals in Lakeland "dismissed the challenge carried forward by an individual," Breuer said.
A lineal park will be built with native palms, colorful wildflowers and brick paver walkway along the perimeter wall.
Sharing the amenity level will be a guest suite and an already-sold northside residence.
The next six levels will have three units each, priced from $1,010,000 to $1,800,000 for 2,975 to 3,600 square feet of living area.
The top floor will have two penthouses at $3.41 million for 5,708 square feet of living area and $2,545,000 for 4,383 square feet. -

Elizabeth Breuer , president of P. Wallenberg Development , said the developer wants to be a good neighbor. The planned condo will exceed the setback requirements and have landscaping at the front and rear , she said.
I think that it's always a shock when there's something different happening in your neighborhood , Breuer said.
