" They need to know how to do this and how to go step by step," said Gail Brett, an Attleboro High English teacher who is now leading the Research and Presentation class.

She's seen this first hand: Her daughters went through Attleboro High, and though they had the study skills they needed to do college level research, many of their roommates were clueless.

" Students need to learn how to do this.It's absolutely essential," Brett said.
