A native of Belleville, Ontario but raised in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Cameron is a graduate of Acadia University and the University of Toronto. He has been our senior minister since 1990 when he joined us from his former parish of St. Andrew's in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He has won the hearts and minds of his congregation by his inspiring preaching and his pastoral care. From his earliest days at St. Andrew's he has championed the cause of the homeless on our streets and made St. Andrew's a training centre for other churches wanting to help homeless people in their communities. His work has won him recognition by CBC Television's National Magazine which featured our Out of the Cold program in a 1998 documentary and by Knox College at the University of Toronto which awarded him an honorary degree in 1998.
