The 1968 born Carinthian started at the Styria Medien AG in Graz in 1992 after his law degree.From 1992 to 1993 he got to know all the areas of the media house, within the framework of an extensive trainee programme.From 1992 to 1994, he worked as assistant to the publishing director of the Kleinen Zeitung.In 1994 he headed the Advertising Sales for the Kleinen Zeitung in Steiermark, initially as sales manager.In the middle of 1995 he took over the entire management of the advertising area for Steiermark (Styria) and Carinthia.From September 1999 onwards, he was Chief Executive of the Kleinen Zeitung GmbH & Co KG and the Advertising and Makerting Kleine Zeitung GmbH & Co KG.His responsibilities as Chief Executive included the areas of Finance, Marketing, Circulation Marketing, as the internal Head of Services, as well as the Online activities of the publishing house.On 1st January 2004, Dr. Bretschko was appointed to the board of Styria Medien AG.Dr. Bretschko is internationally involved in the INMA and Vice President of the European Board.Furthermore, Dr. Bretschko is a member on the board of the Verbandes Österreichischer Zeitungen (Association of Austrian Newspapers), is active on the board of the APA, as well as President of the Mediaanalyse (Media Analysis).Dr. Wolfgang Bretschko is married and the father of three children. -
