   Perella Weinberg has hired Léon Bressler, the former chairman and chief executive of French property investment firm Unibail, to start a real estate investing effort, while Evercore Partners considered getting into real estate investing, a source familiar with the firm said, though it eventually dropped the idea.

   NEW YORK and LONDON, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Perella Weinberg Partners announces that Leon Bressler has joined the Firm as a partner based in its London office. Mr. Bressler will have responsibility for developing and executing the Firm's investment activities in real estate. The Firm plans to raise a global real estate fund in a joint venture with the New York-based Fisher Brothers, the privately-held diversified real estate company. The Firm intends to commit a portion of its capital to the real estate fund and will seek additional funds from institutional investors. Mr. Bressler will function as the chief executive of the joint venture.
