Gertrude Albina (Adam) Bressett, 85, of 45 Millard Ave. Clarksburg, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at the North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Adams on May 15, 1919, she was the daughter of Elphege and Rose Marie (Cyr) Adam. She attended schools in Adams and North Adams and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams. She was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for the former Feder Furniture Co. in North Adams. She was last employed as the office manager for the former Barber Leather Co. in North Adams, retiring in the 1980s. She was a communicant of Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur and later at St. Anthony of Padua Church, North Adams. She was an accomplished candlepin bowler and was a former member of the Valley Park Bowling League in North Adams. She loved spending time at the family cottage and camp at the Duke's Windsor Pond in Windsor, where she loved boating and swimming. She had a great interest in standard-bred and thoroughbred horse racing and loved going to the Saratoga Springs Race Track.
