Judith van-Raalten Bressert is a Dutch citizen living on the island of Hawaii with her husband, our son Eli, and three cats. She works for the University of Hawaii Hilo in the Philosophy and Psychology Department as a lecturer and research/administrative assistant, and is part of the Walter Bressert ProfitTrader support team. Next academic year she hopes to enroll in a graduate school in the United States, Canada or Europe to continue her PhD studies in peace and conflict, where she wants to work on research that relates to philosophical and psychological personality issues as social and ethnic identity and related concepts.
This summer she will participate in the YouthGlobalConnec human rights delegation to Bosnia. Participating is a great opportunity for Judith to help with the process of rebuilding from every level in society. There are deep wounds to heal, especially for youths growing up in a ripped country, growing up with violence and ethnic hatred.
Judith wants to inspire others by making them aware of human rights, the effects of ethnic conflict and cross cultural issues that we need to heal within the world we are living in today. Knowing Judith as we do, we feel strongly that Judith will make a difference.
Below is an open letter written by Judith that very much tells of her beautiful "spirit." and desire to be proactive in making this world a better place. We feel very blessed to have her as our daughter-in-law. She is asking for donations to fund her participation in the Youth Global Connect delegation to Bosnia.
