   ANDREW BRESNAHAN, FORMERLY OF FIDELITY INVESTMENTS, JOINS SCUDDER PRIVATE INVESTMENT COUNSEL AS VICE PRESIDENT AND SALES CONSULTANT
   
   CHICAGO (May 25, 2001) - Zurich Scudder Investments, Inc. announced that Andrew P. Bresnahan has joined Scudder Private Investment Counsel as vice president and sales consultant for the Managed Account Program.
   
   Mr. Bresnahan, who comes to Zurich Scudder from Fidelity Investments, will focus on offering Scudder Private Investment Counsel's investment style to financial consultants and advisors at brokerage and financial planning firms. His duties will include educating these financial consultants about Private Investment Counsel products and strategies and how they can benefit the advisors' affluent clients.
   
   Mr. Bresnahan will be based in Zurich Scudder's Chicago office.
   
   Mr. Bresnahan was at Fidelity in Chicago for six years, most recently as a financial representative responsible for developing and servicing customer relationships. Before Fidelity, he held financial advisor and account executive positions at Prudential Securities, Inc., Rodman & Renshaw, Inc., Shearson Lehman Brothers, Inc. and Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. Mr. Bresnahan holds a BS degree from Miami University in Ohio.
