   Then Breslow focused on local architectural groups and builders who might have an eye for midcentury modern. And that's how she found Joeb Moore, a Greenwich architect who was in the market for a modern house he could make his own.
   
   Moore said he loved the open plan and the large expanses of glass in the Stamford house. He paid $1.65 million for the house, which had gone on the market a year earlier for $2.1 million. He closed in September only after all the permits had been approved for the nearly $1 million in improvements and additions that Moore has planned.
   
   "We have buyer's remorse every day, but you have to power through that," he said.
