"I believe that each individual deserves a customized treatment. I incorporate many years of massage & fitness experience into each treatment. I have a strong belief that exercise, proper nutrition combined with regular massage are three very important aspects in maintaining a strong healthy balance." -Kristina Breslin
Lexington native Kristina Breslin brings years of experience in massage and physical fitness to Essential Bodywork and Massage. A specific interest of hers is helping people with athletic and work-related injuries.
Kristina studied exercise physiology at New Hampshire's Colby-Sawyer College where her coursework included anatomy, physiology, athletic training, nutrition, biology, chemistry, and injury evaluation. While there, she worked as a fitness trainer for Gold's Gym, creating workouts and nutrition programs for athletes of all ages and fitness levels. She continued her training at the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, Mass. where she completed an intensive 900-hour training program that allowed her to become a Licensed, Certified Muscular Therapist (LCMT) in 1996. Shortly thereafter, she opened her own practice, Zani Muscular Therapy, in Lexington. By joining forces with Essential Bodywork and Massage, Kristina brings yet another dimension to the practice.
Rounding out Kristina's background are the successful completion of the La Stone Certification Program and the Royal Treatment Spa Certification Program where her coursework included herbal face massage, herbal and seaweed wraps, spa reflexology, body polish, and salt glow treatments.
Kristina is a member of both the American Massage Therapy Association and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
