   Jon earned a BS in Computer Science in 1985 and was a software developer for Hewlett-Packard before returning to New Orleans to work for Entergy. In 1998, after working for Entergy for eight years, he co-founded TerraPrise with Edgar Cooper.
   
   Jon's Smallworld experience dates back to 1993, when he oversaw Entergy's entire Smallworld project from cradle to grave. With TerraPrise, Jon worked with the New York City Dept. of City Planning to convert their tax parcel and street center data for all five boroughs from Synercom's Informap to Smallworld, providing functionality that matched and improved upon systems developed over 15 years.
   
   Following the success of this implementation, he was contracted by Smallworld to develop Mobile Data Server (Spatial Replication) technology, subsequently helping to implement it for Duke Energy. Over the years Jon has presented papers at international and U.S. Smallworld conferences in Amsterdam, Denver, Atlanta and Keystone.
   
   Jon loves his home town of New Orleans, especially introducing people to the city and entertaining them. He's an avid cook, and has been known to brew the occasional batch of beer. One of his favorite times is the New Orleans Jazz Festival, when he can be found relaxing at the Fairgrounds, enjoying the sun, music, food, and of course, beer! Jon and his wife Michelle's first child, Justin Hunter, was born on September 14, 2002.
