Smith Lanier & Co. headquartered in West Point, Georgia is honored to announce Alvin Bresler their Senior Vice President and Managing Director has been selected by Tigers Unlimited as one of the players to be recognized on the field at the Auburn vs. Ole Miss Football Game on Saturday, October 29
   
   "I consider the Tigers Unlimited Recognition as one of the highest honors that I have ever received. My entire family as well as J. Smith Lanier & Co. is extremely excited about this honor and presentation," said Bresler.
   
   Alvin Bresler's athletic career at Auburn was from 1967-1971 Bresler was one of the few athletes to earn varsity letters in 2 sports at Auburn, Football and Track. Bresler is currently ranked 3rd in all time pass receiving records for average yards per catch--23.04 yards. He held the record for 34 years for the longest touchdown pass reception in Auburn history--(85 yards vs. Georgia Tech in 1970)
   
   Bresler's Track and Field Career was also outstanding. He was the Southeastern Conference Track & Field Champion in 1971 with 440 yard intermediate hurdles.
   
   He was a recipient of the prestigious Cliff Hare Award in 1971, which is the highest honor an Auburn University Athlete can receive.
   
   Bresler also is one of the founding members & and a past president of the Auburn Football Lettermen Club.
   
   Bresler's business career at J. Smith Lanier & Co. started on April 1, 1999 when he opened their Birmingham, Alabama location, which now has 25 employees. He currently serves as Senior Vice President/ Managing Director and specializes in Contractor Surety Bonds & Contractor's Insurance.
   
   He and his wife Becky and their three daughters and son-in-laws all graduated from Auburn University.
