Mr. Breslauer concentrates his practice in the fields of bankruptcy, insolvency and related commercial litigation.In that role, he has represented debtors, creditors, trustees, and official creditors' committees in bankruptcy cases all over the State of California.He currently serves as a board member of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum and is a mediator in the Bankruptcy Mediation Project of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California.He has lectured frequently to both lay and professional audiences on bankruptcy and insolvency topics, and is a former instructor in the University of California San Diego's Paralegal Program in bankruptcy law.
Mr. Breslauer is a Wexner Heritage Foundation Fellow and is actively involved in the San Diego Jewish community.He serves as a San Diego board member of the Hillel Foundation and as a Vice-President of the San Diego chapter of the American Jewish Committee.
Mr. Breslauer was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.He attended the University of Wisconsin (Madison) where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science in 1978.After a two year stint working in the Wisconsin legislature, he attended the University of San Diego School of Law on a scholastic scholarship.He graduated with honors from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1983, and is licensed to practice law in the State of California.
Mr. Breslauer was a partner/shareholder at Gray, Cary, Ware & Friedenrich until he departed in 1995 to become a partner at SWSS. -
