   Rob has been swimming with the Vortex Masters team since November and coaching since April. Swimming competitively since age 8, Rob grew up as a member of the club and high school teams in Los Alamos, New Mexico. He then swam at Iowa State for 4 years as a mid-distance freestyler and was an assistant coach for the women's team his fifth year. Rob loves the fun people and atmosphere of the Vortex Masters. There is a diverse set of goals for the swimmers in the Masters program and Rob enjoys the challenge of providing workouts that help people accomplish their goals and deepen their love of swimming. Rob was recently married and starts a masters program this fall to get his teaching license and masters of education at CSU. He enjoys swimming, disc golf, playing guitar, traveling, and anything outdoors.
