    Since Rick took over the operation in 2007, the Fisher Cats have supported more than 800 charitable organizations in and around New Hampshire, with over $475,000 raised through Fisher Cat fundraising.In 2007 & 2008, the Annual Granite State Baseball Dinner has seen attendance rise to upwards of 900 people, and raised over $200,000 for the Fisher Cats Foundation & the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD).In 2007, the Fisher Cats also saw a 23% increase in attendance at Merchantsauto.com Stadium.

    Rick spent three seasons as the Eastern League Vice President and six seasons as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Trenton Thunder, the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, and previously, the Boston Red Sox.

    Under Brenner's leadership, the Trenton Thunder became the first Double-A team in minor league baseball history to draw 400,000 fans for eleven consecutive seasons.

    In 2003, Rick was named the Eastern League's Executive of the Year and the Thunder was awarded the coveted Larry MacPhail Trophy for Minor League baseball's top promotional/community effort.

    In 2005, his last year as General Manager of the Trenton Thunder, his organization was awarded the prestigious John H. Johnson President's trophy as the nation's best baseball franchise.
