ONEONTA - This September was a noteworthy time for Oneonta couple David and Lois Brenner: The pair celebrated 50 years of marriage earlier this month, in addition to their 50 years in Oneonta.

Lois Brenner also worked, often running a business from her dining-room table, said Maggie Barnes, chairwoman of the selection committee.

"Lois Brenner was a working mother long before it became fashionable," Barnes said.
