David Brenner Vice President of Development, Initia, Inc.
...
David Brenner is Vice President of Development for Initia Inc., a privately held subsidiary of York Telecom, bringing new advanced call management solutions to the market. As President of VideoBureau LLC, a company acquired by Initia Inc. in January 2001, he specialized in the design and development of video communications systems for courthouse and courtroom environments.
Since 1989, he has been an advocate, architect and implementer of video communication systems. These systems allow for the use of analog and digital video technologies to enable video conferencing and video distribution. He pioneered the design for hub-based courthouse video conferencing systems (allowing multiple courtrooms to share centralized equipment) and designed the first U.S. appellate courtroom with multi-site and multi-camera mixing capabilities.
Mr. Brenner has previously held the position of Vice President of Technology for C-C-C USA Inc., where he was responsible for the design and development of video conferencing systems. Prior to that, he held the positions of Chief Technology Officer for Visualscape, a division of Uni-Data and Communications, Inc.; Vice President of Technology Development for NYNEX Media Communication Services; and Member of Technical Staff at NYNEX Science & Technology.
His work was originally focused on the development of multimedia communications services that could be operated by telephone companies. For the last five years, he has focused on the development and deployment of enterprise-wide video communications systems delivering local and wide-area conferencing and video distribution in a broad spectrum of industries including financial services/banking, health care, entertainment, legal/judicial, and utilities. For the past two years, he has focused on the design and implementation of video communication systems for courtrooms and courthouses. He has a B.A and an M.A. from the State University of New York at Albany, and has done post-graduate work in Communications at Penn State University and Rennselear Polytechnic Institute.
