David A. Brenner, M.D. is a board-certified neurologist and stroke researcher. Dr. Brenner graduated from New York Medical College and completed his neurology training at the University of Arizona. He also spent a year as a research fellow at Hopital Bichat in Paris France. Dr. Brenner then went to Alabama to join the Reasons for Geographic and Racial Differences in Stroke (REGARDS) Study, conducted by the School of Public Health at the University of Alabama. Dr. Brenner serves as an investigator for the study and has made several scientific presentations. Dr. Brenner has published articles for several neurology journals and has presented findings at several conferences. Dr. Brenner currently practices neurology in Birmingham and is completing his Masters of Public Health at the University of Alabama. He also serves as the neurology expert for the StrokeNetwork.com, an online support group for stroke survivors.
