    At the GAA annual Congress at the week-end , Mr. Brennan stepped down as chairman of the National Communications and Technology Work Group after the statutory three year term.

    And he was immediately appointed chairman of the high powered National Hurling Development Committee ( NHDC ) by new President , Sean McCague ( Monaghan ) .
