Ms. Brennan graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law in May of 2001.While in law school, Ms. Brennan worked as a research assistant to well-known Indian law and water law scholar David H. Getches, participated in the Indian Law Clinic, and served as Secretary of the Native American Law Students Association.

Following law school, Ms. Brennan worked as a contractor for Department of Defense installations, advising military personnel of legal compliance obligations relating to Native American and Alaska Native tribes.She prepared the Subsistence and Environmental Justice sections of a major Environmental Impact Statement, drafted internal policies on tribal consultation, and assisted with NAGPRA repatriations.Her work focused on natural and cultural resource protection, as well as federal trust responsibilities and consultation requirements.She joined the firm as an associate in the summer of 2003.
Ms. Brennan is admitted to practice in the State of Colorado and is a member of the ABA, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Larimer County Bar Association.
