   The Borough Council has failed for the fourth time to force its sacked PR chief Julian Brennan to pay his council tax. Mr. Brennan is refusing to pay an instalment of £36.15. After failing to appear three times at Bedford Magistrates court, the newspaper states, Mr. Brennan took the council to a full trial over the unpaid bill on Wednesday. But the court ran out of time as he cross-examined a witness, and had to adjourn the case to a date to be fixed. This story runs on and on. Heavens knows how much this bill for thirty pounds is costing the taxpayer.

   I thought we had heard the last of Julian Brennan, who was former head of public relations at Bedford Borough Council. I first came across him when setting up this website. I had 'phoned him to ask whether there were any photographs the Borough possessed of previous events, and if so whether I could have access to them. He had been quite abusive and unfriendly, adding that the Borough would be bringing out a "proper" website, and whilst he could not stop me from working on one, he saw no reason why he or the Borough should help.

   Mr. Brennan is now suing the council for Disability Discrimination. He says that he was suffering from a mental illness.

   Julian Brennan, a former public relations chief, is to appeal against his sacking. After allegations had been made regarding his expenses claim, it would seem, he was suspended for a year and eventually given the sack. His appeal will be heard this week.
