John BrennanAs senior vice president of corporate development, John Brennan manages and drives Adobe's strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and new business initiatives.He and his team are responsible for the identification, negotiation and execution of any transactions or external investments required to support the company's strategy.
Since joining Adobe in 2004, Brennan has shaped the company's long-term market strategy.He was a driving force behind Adobe's acquisition of Macromedia in 2005, firmly establishing Adobe as one of the world's largest and most diversified software companies.In addition, Brennan directed the activities of the Creative Professional Business Unit , Adobe's largest business , in an operating capacity through most of 2005.
Prior to joining Adobe, Brennan served as senior vice president of worldwide small and medium business operations for Hewlett-Packard.In that role, Brennan was responsible for the sales and marketing of the portfolio of products targeted at the SMB segment.Brennan previously led HP's corporate development, including overall planning and related corporate investment activities.Prior to HP, Brennan helped lead the Electronics & High-Tech Practice as a consultant for Accenture, where he served high-tech companies in both a strategy and solutions role.
Brennan earned a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a master's degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
