   John Brennan, M.D. Dr. John Brennan's association with St. John Hospital began with his selection of the Hospital for his internship and residency programs in 1943 after which he became a member of the Medical Staff in the Department of Medicine. He served as President of the Medical Staff and was very committed to the Catholic Mission and having the Hospital respond to the healthcare needs of the community and the people it served. He joined the staff of St. John West Shore Hospital when it opened in 1981 and continued to provide for patients at both sites. He served as a consultant for the By-Laws Committee of St. John West Shore Medical Staff from 1991-1998. His advice during this time was very beneficial in the structuring of appropriate guidelines for the governance of the Medical Staff. Dr. Brennan holds Emeritus Staff status, one of the highest honors bestowed upon a retired member of the Medical Staff.
