   John Brennan, 36, 500 block of Columbus Ave., is an associate pastor at Sts.Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Sandusky.He was unconscious with a blood sugar level of 30 when paramedics arrived at the crash site shortly after 4:15 p.m., according to Dr. Theresa Hennessey, who is treating Brennan.
   
   An average blood-sugar level is at least 100.
   
   Low blood-sugar levels can cause blackouts.

   Brennan, who was in stable condition at the Cleveland hospital Thursday night with a fractured wrist and facial injuries, has had diabetes for about the last 10 years, said the Rev. Marty Nassr, pastor at Sts.Peter & Paul.The day of the crash, Brennan "very likely didn't get the kind of lunch he really needs to" because of his busy schedule, said Nassr.
   
   Not getting enough to eat can cause diabetics' blood sugar to become too low.
   
   Brennan became disoriented at the rectory a few weeks ago when his blood sugar was low, Nassr said.Brennan has been taking medication to try to regulate his sugar levels.
   
   Sandusky police are investigating the crash.
