James J. Brennan Joins Healthcare M&A Firm, MidMarket Capital, Inc.
"HINSDALE, Ill., April 24 James J. Brennan has joined MidMarket Capital to head up their Healthcare mergers and acquisitions practice.Prior to joining MidMarket Capital, Jim served as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Mediserve Information Systems, a pioneer in clinical information systems."We are excited to have someone with Jim's skills and strategic industry knowledge join our team," says Dave Kauppi, President of MidMarket Capital.
"We are targeting our services at an underserved market -- the $2 million to $25 million in revenue healthcare company that needs M&A representation.William Blair and Alex Brown, for example provide an outstanding corporate finance capability for the largest healthcare companies. We are structured to provide transaction services and industry expertise at the smaller end of the market with a size appropriate fee structure," observes Brennan.
"There is so much potential at the smaller end of the market where a tremendous amount of the new technology development is occurring," says Kauppi.MidMarket Capital was the M&A advisor to one of these technology innovators, Flexestaff in their sale to Per-Se Technologies.
Brennan adds, "It is far more cost effective and more rapid for the large Healthcare Information Technology companies to acquire the cutting edge technology from those small, nimble, low overhead, entrepreneurial companies than it is to build it internally.
...
Jim brings a broad background including telephony, information technology and healthcare."
