Dr. Daniel Brennan, a local pediatrician and monthly columnist for the Goleta Valley Voice, graduated in 1989.During his time at San Marcos, he played soccer and tennis for four years, was a yearbook contributor, member of National Honor Society and was the salutatorian for his graduating class.
"My fondest memories include getting to walk out on the baseball field at the Angels stadium with my soccer coach Abe Jahadmy [the current athletic director] and receiving an individual award for being the CIF Student Athlete of the Year and accept a team award for being the top academic boys soccer team in CIF," says Dr. Brennan.
After graduating, Dr. Brennan received a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from UCLA, a master's degree from Albany Medical College, and completed his pediatric training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverley Hills.
Dr. Brennan's education at San Marcos allowed him to gain experiences that prepared for his future."During my years at San Marcos, I gained a valuable academic foundation that allowed me to be successful in college, medical school and as a pediatrician," says Dr. Brennan."I developed many great friendships with friends and teachers that I still maintain today.My four years at San Marcos are four of my favorite years!"
Even though Dr. Brennan graduated over a decade ago, his school spirit still remains intact."To this day I have so much pride in San Marcos," says Dr. Brennan. -
