Cynthia' fine arts training and her experience in the fields of interior and landscape design compliment the firm's architectural strengths.As a designer, Cynthia contributes her expertise to overall project designs including; site planning, building planning, composition, scale, materials and color.For interiors, she is responsible for specifying colors, finishes, fixtures and fittings, and furnishings.For the site, Cynthia designs complete landscapes including the selection and specification of all plant materials.Previously she has worked as a freelance landscape designer, interior designer, illustrator and decorative painter.Prior to receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1991, Cynthia's aesthetic sensibilities were informed by growing up in Milan, Italy and Tehran, Iran and extensive travel.In 1998, she completed a two-year certificate course in Landscape Design at the New York Botanical Gardens.Cynthia is also the Owner/Designer of James, a Bedford Hills boutique dedicated to sustainable design through free trade and green products (jamesny.com).When not working, she is an active community volunteer, giving her time as a board member of the Katonah Museum of Art, and co-chairing the Art Show Bedford.
