   Mark Breneman graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in German language and literature. He attended the University of Minnesota, doing graduate work in historical linguistics. He left the academic world to manage the family farm corporation for 13 years. In 1985 he left agriculture to pursue a career in financial planning and investments. He is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner and received a master's degree in financial planning. He holds the license series 7, 24, 63 and 65. He is a founder of AMG Advisors and founder of the Academic Advisory Group, an investment advisor dedicated to providing retirement planning and investment advice to professional educators.
   
   He is a long time member of the Rochester Rotary Club, serves on the Regional Development Advisory Council of Minnesota Public Radio and is currently on the Madonna Towers Foundation Board.
   
   Mark and his wife, Alyce, an Educational Audiologist, have three grown children.
