   John grew up in southeastern PA. Where he went to college at Philadelphia Biblical University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Bible. He later attended Denver Seminary where he earned a Master of Religious Education Degree.
   
   After Seminary he worked as an activities director for a Big Brother/Big Sister type program for Denver kids in trouble with the law. After moving to Montana he worked in a minimum security correctional facility (Swan River Youth Forest Camp) and as a teacher's aid in the Bigfork School District. He also worked a few part time jobs including Wilderness Cook for an outfitter in the Bob Marshall.
   
   John and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 37 years and have a 21-year old son, John.
