   Adirondack Bank Vice President and Regional Development Officer Robert Brenchley announced at Wednesday's Ilion Village Board of Trustees meeting the bank will be moving its Ilion operations, currently in Central Plaza, to a new, not yet built facility on West Main Street.Brenchley hopes to open the new facility, at 296 W. Main St., across from where Sixth Avenue meets Main Street, by mid-October."We are very excited," said Brenchley, who said the bank has been working toward the move for about a year."It will be more modern than the existing location."The new, nearly 2,500 square feet facility will have expanded services, including three drive-through lanes, a night deposit box, a conference room and a 26 space parking lot.Brenchley said aside from a new banking environment, the facility will have a higher degree of privacy.Inside, there will be six teller stations, a conference room and a new employee said Brenchley.He plans to be aggressive with building the facility and opens to start some processes on Monday."We're ready to go anytime," said Brenchley.Brenchley added he was excited to partner with the village in moving and it was wonderful to deal with Mayor Mark Cushman, Treasurer Connie Gagliardi, the village attorneys and fire Chief Mark Shaffer, also the codes officer."They bent over backwards to work with us," said Brenchley.

   A native of Herkimer, New York, Mr. Robert E. Brenchley was educated in Herkimer schools and is a strong supporter of the Mohawk Valley.Following his graduation from HCCC, he attended SUNY Institute of Technology, earning a B.P.S. degree in management.
   
   Currently, Bob is regional president of Adirondack Bank, Mohawk Valley District.He has been employed with Adirondack Bank since 2002.Prior to this, he worked for many years as vice president and manager of Herkimer County Trust Company.
   
   Bob's community involvement is evident throughout the area.He serves as president of the Herkimer County College Foundation, and has been a board member since 1997.He is also president of Catholic Charities of Herkimer County.He serves on the Herkimer County Youth Bureau Board, and is a member of Herkimer Elks Lodge 1439, holding the distinction of past Elk of the Year.Bob is a charter member, past president and life member of MOVAC.
   
   Previously, he was a 28-year member of the Herkimer Fire Department.Bob served on the board of numerous local organizations including the Valley United Way, Valley Health Services and Mohawk Homestead.
   
   His commitment to the local community is unwavering.

   Brenchley who serves as Regional Director for the Adirondack Bank was joined by a handful of supporters today.While he has received other civic duty awards in the past, this one is special.
   
   "It's a great honor for me," said Brenchley."When I think of the past recipients that have been honored ... and to be thought of in the same light with them it means a great deal."
   
   Brenchley says he's accepting the award on behalf of all the organizations he has been a part of throughout his life.
   
   We asked if Brenchley plans to expand his civic involvement in the near future and he said he was open to helping others in the community should the occasion arise.
