   Wayne Bremner succeeds Laura Loewen, whose resignation takes effect June 30.

   Bremner has served MCC BC as director of employment and community development for three years and as program and personnel director for the last seven years.
   
   He previously served overseas with Mennonite Economic Development Agency (MEDA) and with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF.)
   
   He holds a bachelor of arts in business administration from Trinity Western University and a master's of arts in international development from the University of Toronto.
   
   Bremner is active in the Abbotsford community, serving on the board of Community Futures South Fraser, as a founding board member on the newly formed Positive Living Fraser Valley; the Community Advisory Council for UCFV; the Partners for Affordable Housing Committee, which covers the upper Fraser Valley; and others.
   
   "We, as board members, were unanimous in our decision to appoint Wayne Bremner as ED," said Ernie Schmidt, MCC BC board member, who chaired the search committee.
