   Jim Bremner, vice-president of the Nova Scotia Cattlemen's Association, said having provincial institutions use only Nova Scotia beef sounds like good news for local ranchers.
   
   "It'll use some beef and it's a sign of support," he said Sunday afternoon.
   
   "It will certainly have a positive impact. How big, I don't know."
   
   Mr. Bremner said the majority of beef sold in big-chain grocery stores comes from Alberta.
   
   "We are a very small part of the national product here," he said.
