Angela Branz-Spall currently serves as the Montana Director of Migrant Education at the Office of Public Instruction in Helena, Montana.
With over 30 years of experience in program administration, curriculum design and teaching, Ms. Branz-Spall's career has focused on providing educational equity for disadvantaged children.
During her tenure at the Montana Office of Public Instruction, Ms. Branz-Spall has also served as the Director of the Bilingual and Civil Rights Programs.
Ms. Branz-Spall is a recipient of the 1995 National Association of State Directors of Migrant Education (NASDME) Award for excellence in the advancement of the concept of continuity of serves through interstate coordination.
She is the co-author of several articles and publications regarding the migrant education program, including, "Children of the Road: Migrant Students, Our Nations Most Mobile Population" published by Howard University Press through the Poverty and Race Research Action Council (PRRAC) and most recently, "A History of Advocacy for Migrant Children and Their Families: More than 30 Years in the Fields" from the book Scholars in the Field published by ERIC.
She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Gonzaga University and her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Oregon.
