BRIDGEPORT -- Linda Carol (Ballard) Brandt, 56, of Bridgeport died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 at Norwalk Hospital.

Born in Middletown, March 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Harold D. Ballard and Shirley Eick Ballard.Linda graduated from Quinnipiac College with an AS degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude from UConn with a BS degree.She was working towards her Masters Degree from Sacred Heart University.She was employed at Norwalk Hospital for 31 years where she most recently held the position of the Director of Surgical Education.

In addition to her mother, Shirley Ballard of Cheshire; Linda is survived her two sisters, Diane Gagewski of Meriden and Patti Faust of Southington; and her brother, Hal Ballard of Southington.
