It's definitely a small world.More than 10 years ago I had the pleasure of meeting an extraordinary interior designer named Geoffrey Bradfield.He happens to come from the same small town in South Africa that I do, he attended the same high school as I did, and he lives in NYC, same as I do.Whenever we're together, we laugh about the coincidence of our meeting and hailing from the same "village".We're both so incredibly lucky to have made our way to America and to have been given a world of opportunity that we could never have imagined or dreamt of as children growing up.Geoffrey is at the top of his game; highly respected in the design world, recognized by the world's top design publications, and is a member of the elite group of Architectural Digest Top 100 Designers.His aesthetic is clean and modern with under- and overtones of pure luxury.I'm proud of his accomplishments and happy to call him a friend.

Bradfield specializes in creating daring, elegant, and luxurious residences and offices for an international clientele and Fortune 500 clients.

Bradfield has received on four successive occasions, the coveted recognition by Architectural Digest magazine in their "AD 100" in January 2000, January 2002, January 2004, and January 2007 as one of the top designers in the world. And most recently, he was honoured in the Architectural Digest January 2005 issue as 'Dean of American Design.'

As well as Architectural Digest's mammoth "The Twentieth Century Issue" (April 1999) chronicling the cultural adventure of the past 100 years, recognized Bradfield's work in the "1990's with an eye toward the new millennium".

Bradfield is recognized in the book America's Elite 1000 - The Ultimate List, Millennium Issue, "the Inside Story Behind America's Top 1000 Names"; published by Codogan Publications.

Initially working with McMillen, Inc. and later longtime partner of the late Jay Spectre, the work of Bradfield's company appears, in addition, in the pages of leading design magazines including Architectural Digest, Interior Design, Elle Décor, Veranda, Classic Home, House Beautiful, Metropolitan Home, and the New York Times.

Bradfield has won numerous design awards, and has lectured at the Smithsonian. In addition to the Kips Bay Decorator's Show House, he is a frequent guest on television shows which include CNN and HGTV.

Geoffrey Bradfield has homes in New York City and Palm Beach. He is co-author of Point Of View: Design By Jay Spectre (1991), author of Celebration: Christmas In New York (1993) and a book showcasing his work of the last decade, Geoffrey Bradfield - Defining Millennium Modern was published in 2003.
