Bradfield is currently stationed in Japan.Born in Leamington , Utah , she graduated from Delta High School in 1994 and studied music at Snow College on a full tuition scholarship where she earned an associate's degree of science in May 1996.She continued to study music at Weber State University until May 1999.On June 6 , 1999 , Bradfield entered Basic Training at Fort Jackson , S.C. , before attending training at the Armed Forces School of Music at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek where she was selected as the Honor Graduate for having the highest grade point average in her class.

Bradfield reported to the US Army Japan Band at Camp Zama , Japan , in March 2000.She continues to take classes with University of Maryland , working towards a Bachelor's degree.SGT Bradfield teaches Sunday School class for 5-7 year olds at her church , and gives private instruction to three saxophone students.
