Jim Boyle is a registered lobbyist with the Texas Ethics Commission.He has lobbied at the Texas Capitol to write or change state laws since the 1970s.Jim is at the State Capitol in Austin on a daily basis during legislative sessions.He meets with legislators and their assistants, drafts and amends bills, testifies at committee hearings, and shares background information with news reporters when appropriate.In addition, he monitors and reports to clients on statutory development.
Between legislative sessions, he is also involved in monitoring interim committee activities, visits with legislators and candidates, and researching and drafting proposed legislation.
In addition to his experience in Austin, Jim lobbied before the U.S. Congress as Director of Governmental Relations for the Consumer Federation of America.He testified before congressional committees, appeared frequently on network news and the McNeil-Lehrer News Hour, and spoke at many national conferences.
