Ms. Boyd was born in Arizona and was raised in Southern California.She graduated from Yucca Valley High School in 1974.Later she moved to Auburn Alabama and raised her only son until he became an Eagle Scout and enlisted into the US Navy in 1994.One of her highlights was being a volunteer for a week at the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta.She later moved to Colorado and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitative Services (honors) and with a minor in American Sign Language from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley in 1999.She lived in Australia for 8-years until the end of 2006, when she migrated back to Virginia where her son resides with his fiancé and her 4 grandchildren.While in Australia she was fortunate enough to meet Steve & Terri Irwin (the Crocodile Hunters) while working at Australia Zoo.She is currently a Special Education teacher for 6th grade while working on her Master's Degree for High Incidence Disabilities in Special Education at Radford University.
