Our former publisher, Vickey Boyd, told me the other day while we were talking on the phone that when she first moved to Mt. Pleasant, Chappy called her to welcome her to the area and to remind her that they are "related." She said he had so many good things to say about Williamsburg County and the people here. Would he have remembered all that much about Williamsburg County if he wasn't a member of the clan?Who know? But it sure didn't hurt.
