CHICAGO - In her gripping memoir, Living by Grace through Crime and Corruption at the IRS (published by AuthorHouse), Dr. Vernita Boyd shares the frightening yet inspirational story of how God's grace and mercy kept her from being killed as she fought against internal crimes and the corruption of the patronage system during her tenure at the Internal Revenue Service.
Boyd explains her predicament while serving as a supervisor with the Special Enforcement and Anti-Money Laundering program at the IRS:

Eventually Boyd was able to contact the FBI, Treasury Inspector General Tax Administration and Criminal Investigation and other authorities to investigate her claims of crime and corruption within the IRS.
It was an ordeal that only strengthened her faith.
"To have your life and family threatened increases your faith and trust in God," Boyd writes.
"This story is important because when people thought they had no recourse, God allowed justice to prevail."
