    According to Mike Bowern, Chairman of the Australian Computer Society's Economic, Legal and Social Implications Committee, too much autonomy can be dangerous.

    "The manufacturer suggests the robots are superior to human guards because they won't be affected by fatigue or inclement weather.However, a human soldier will take responsibility for his actions and can choose not to fire if there is any doubt.In contrast, a robot has no sentient reasoning and cannot argue for any other course of action than what it has been programmed to take," he said.
