James Bowe Joins Paladin
(CEDAR RAPIDS - 4/25/05) I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. James M. Bowe to the position of Director, Product Development at Paladin effective 25 April 2005.He replaces Ross Brown, who has served in this role on a part time basis since October 2003.Jim will report to the writer in his new role.
Jim joins Paladin after serving in a number of leadership roles, primarily in product development and engineering, at Reedrill, Inc., where he was employed from 1991-2005.While his management positions at Reedrill focused primarily on product engineering, he also served as Vice President, Operations from 1995-1998.Prior to joining Reedrill, Jim served in engineering management positions of increasing responsibility at Driltech, Inc., from 1973-1990.Jim earned a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida in 1981, and an MBA from the University of Dallas in 2002.
In his new role, Jim will be responsible for leading the company's efforts to develop and deploy best practices related to the engineering, development, introduction and support of new and enhanced attachment products.In doing so, he will work with the company's brand team engineering resources to establish and distribute standard practices, processes and procedures for new product development initiatives.Jim will provide guidance and support to the brand team's engineering organizations, and will serve as Chair of a Product Development Council.In short, Jim's role will be to ensure that Paladin maintains a competitive edge in the marketplace through innovative product development and introduction capabilities.
Jim and his wife Sue have one daughter.
