   John Boughton , sales and marketing director for Vickers , said that these latest sales represent another milestone in Vickers supply of a wide range of light armoured vehicles. Continued sales across the globe fully justify our confidence in the world leading capability that we have and demonstrate a superb balance between our South African and UK engineering teams. They also continue to pave the way for Vickers to play a substantial role in future wheeled vehicle programmes , both in the Middle East and elsewhere , he said. According to the release , Vickers OMC ( owned by Vickers Defence Systems ) designs and supplies a wide range of high-mobility wheeled armoured vehicles in service with the United Nations and in Africa , the Middle East and Asia. In addition to RG-12 , the vehicle range includes the RG-31 APC and Utility variants , the RG-32 Scout and the Wasp rapid deployment 4x4 reconnaissance vehicle , the release said.
   
   Advanced Electronics company of Saudi Arabia was to supply its highly sophisticated binoculars and telescopes to the French company , TALIS. The two companies have signed an agreement here at the ongoing International Defence Exhibition and Conference , IDEX 2001. According to the agreement , the Saudi company will sell to TALIS , formerly known as Thompson Company , the Sophi infrared ray binoculars , being produced by the Riyadh-based Advanced Electronics Company of Saudi Arabia.
