   Jim Boughton, owner and founder of Polywebb Enterprise.
   
   Jim is a Senior Systems Specialist with The Freeman Companies corporate office in Dallas, Texas. A "Yankee" by birth he became a Texan by choice in the beginning of 1980. Residing in Arlington with his wife Aliza, Jim became interested in computers in 1982 and has been involved in the computer industry in some manner ever since.
   
   On January 4th, 1998, Jim completed the requirements and earned his MCSE certification. "Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers are required to pass four operating system exams and two elective exams that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise." Jim is currently updating this certification to reflect his expertise in Windows 2000 and Windows XP
   
   On September 1st, 1995, Jim became one of the first people to pass the test and become a Microsoft Certified Product Specialist for Windows 95. On January 4th, 1998, Jim upgraded this certification to include Internet Specialist.
   
   In March of 1996, Jim earned his Novell 4 CNE certification. Combining his expertise in Windows with proven knowledge of Novell networks has allowed Jim to better serve his readers, customers and friends. Jim upgraded this certification in 2000 to reflect his expertise in Novell Netware version 5.0
   
   In addition to being both a Microsoft Product Specialist, Microsoft Certified System Engineer, and a Novell CNE, Jim has also achieved his A+ Certification as a PC Technician acknowledging his proficiency in both operating systems and as a hardware technician.
   
   Along with all these technical certifications, Jim is also a Microsoft Certified Sales Specialist.

   Jim began writing his "Window on Windows" column with the release of Windows version 3.0. His column earned him the Star-Telegram Cyber Columnist of the Quarter Award both in 1992 and 1996. He is one of only two columnists to have been honored with the Ed Jackson Memorial Award.
   
   In recent years Jim has been known as the man behind the scenes at NSNC, producing Dave Lieber's video columns, and other ground breaking journalistic activities on the web.

   Jim served 7 years on the Board of Directors as the NSNC Web Editor and is a lifetime member of the NSNC.

   Starting with owner, Jim Boughton's, award winning cyber-column, Window on Windows which appears on the Fort-Worth Star Telegram online site. Window on Windows was presented with the Star Columnist Award on two separate occasions, and Jim is only the second cyber columnist to receive the coveted EJ Award.
