BOUGH NAMED AIRPORT FIRE CHIEF
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 31, 1997) - - The Lee County Port Authority has appointed Marvin G. Bough II chief of the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) department.He joined the department in 1975 and has served as battalion chief for 15 years.Bough replaces former ARFF Chief Billy Clemons who retired in April after 25 years with the department.

As chief, Bough manages all ARFF services at Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field.He is responsible for the development of fire prevention training programs and suppression strategies for the 33-member department, as well as the planning and coordination of fire fighting, emergency rescue and disaster preparedness.
Bough was in the charter class of the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Md.He also holds certifications from the Southwest Florida Fire Academy, the American Association of Airport Executives, Division of Forestry and Florida State Fire College in aircraft crash management, hazardous materials prevention and control, rural fire defense and fire extinguishing systems.Bough is a certified Emergency Medical Technician and serves on the LaBelle Fire Board.
