Linda Boudreaux is Executive Director of The Extra Mile, Region IV, Inc., a private, non-profit corporation with a twelve year history of providing community based services to individuals and families throughout the region who are clients of state agencies. The mission statement of The Extra Mile, Region IV, Inc., is: "To enhance and enrich the quality of life for all persons served by the State of Louisiana by mobilizing people and resources in the community." In fulfilling it's mission, TEM takes a proactive approach toward initiating programs that respond to the needs of individuals and families as identified by the communities in which they live.

Family Violence Intervention Project - Linda collaborated with community partners to develop this program which offers classes to batterers in an effort to stop the cycle of domestic violence. She has been on the Board of Directors since 1994; served as Vice-President in 1997 and became an ex-officio board member in March 1997 in order to become a facilitator for FVIP's Men's Batterer Groups
A.V.E.C. Les Enfants - Linda Boudreaux spearheaded a community collaboration to provide a safe, child friendly setting for children to visit with their non-custodial parents. AVEC Les Enfants, Acadiana's first supervised visitation and exchange center which opened its doors in September 2002, is the product of that community collaboration and is under the umbrella of The Extra Mile, Region IV, Inc.
Care Free - A center for emotional recovery and wellness was the result of a community collaboration spearheaded by Linda Boudreaux. Care Free is a pro-bono mental health counseling program staffed by licensed mental health professionals who donate their services to persons who do not meet criteria for public mental health services and cannot afford paid professional counseling. Care Free serves adults, children and families. Care Free's mission statement is: "To provide free, quality counseling and support services to persons with mental illness regardless of their ability to pay." Located in the old J. Wallace James Elementary School on Poydras St. in Lafayette, LA. Care Free is under the umbrella of The Extra Mile, Region IV, Inc. and has been operational for two years.
Acadia Parish Family Resource Center - Collaborating with Acadia Parish service providers, Linda Boudreaux was instrumental in establishing this center in Crowley, LA. Operational since 1978, the center provides services to the residents of Acadia Parish.
Since 2001, Linda Boudreaux has supervised VISTA volunteers working with the Louisiana Violence Prevention Alliance. Projects of LVPA include: local and state networking, community organizing and education and most recently, The Silent Witness Program - a community awareness initiative regarding intimate partner homicide.
