   Amy began her journey with AVEDA in 2000 at the Lockworks Academie, an Aveda Concept School in Lafayette, Louisiana. After completing the program, Amy worked behind the chair at an AVEDA Concept Salon in Lafayette, then continued working as a stylist with a privately owned salon outside of the city. Approached with the opportunity to educate at the AVEDA Institute-Lafayette, Amy enrolled in the school's Instructor Training Program, receiving her educator's license after completing 500 hours. Amy eventually became head of the clinic floor at the AVEDA Institute-Lafayette before becoming an educator with the AVEDA Institute St. Petersburg. To Amy, AVEDA is more than a job, it is a way of life.
