Roland J. Boudreault
LEWISTON - Roland J. Boudreault, 89, of East Poland, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, at the Marguerite d'Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Causafscal, Canada, Nov. 17, 1913, a son of Evagre and Anna (Dallaire) Boudreault. In 1939 he married his beloved wife, Madeline (Baker) Boudreault. They shared many wonderful years together until her passing in 1995.
For more than 30 years he worked as a loom technician for the Bates Fabric Co. in Lewiston and also worked for the Auburn Post Office as a rural carrier. He retired at the age of 67.
Mr. Boudreault was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Auburn for more than 45 years.
He was a member of the Circle Canadian Club, New England Horseshoe Pitchers Association. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling and was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting and fishing. He had a great talent for vegetable gardening.
Mr. Boudreault was a compassionate person and had a special fondness for animals of all kinds, his dogs and cats in particular. One of his priorities in life was his family - he loved everyone in the family with a great vigor.
He is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Paraskevakos of Lewiston, and Jacqueline Pare and husband Normand of Minot; one son, Richard Boudreault and wife Rena of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Bruce Boudreault, Mark Boudreault, Angela Boudreault, Tammy Redmond, Brian Pare; four great-grandchildren, Caleb Lessard, Brandon and Renee Boudreault and Victoria Pare; one sister, Rolene Hardy of Washington State; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
