Born in Campbeltown, New Brunswick, Charline Boudreau manages TransAlta's community investment portfolio, building strategic alliances between the company and the community.

She has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Moncton and more than 10 years of corporate citizenship experience.She also brings another 15 years of finance and accounting and administration experience from both the private and public sectors.

Charline's volunteer interests are in working with organizations having a broad community impact.An active community volunteer, she is a member of the advisory committee for the Institute for Nonprofit Studies at Mount Royal College in Calgary, and sits on several committees aimed at benchmarking corporate citizenship.

In the past, Charline has served as a member of the boards of directors for the United Way of Calgary and Volunteer Calgary, and has chaired the Calgary Workplace Volunteer Council.She is also the past manager of the NOVA Corporation Charitable Foundation, and was a member of the Woods Home fundraising committee.

From 1998 to 2001, Charline was also active as a member of the advisory committee for The Kahanoff Foundation's Resource Development Project, a resource development program for non-profit organizations that has since been adopted by the Calgary Centre for Non-Profit Management.

Charline joined Volunteer Canada's Board of Directors in 2004.
